Increasing environmental awareness in today's society and stricter regulations have forced manufacturing firms to take necessary actions for the recovery of end-of-life (EOL) products through different options (e.g., recycling, remanufacturing,). Disassembly is regarded as a critical operation EOL treatment used since all product require disassembly at certain levels. This generally carried out by forming lines facilities. Miscellaneous methodologies based on heuristics, metaheuristics mathematical programming been proposed balancing lines. Majority those assume that line parameters are deterministic ignoring fact involves great deal uncertainty mainly due uncertain conditions arriving products. Considering this high level uncertainty, simulation modeling can be an effective tool In study, simulation-based methodology explicit consideration stochastic parameters. First, model constructed. Since problem has combinatorial nature, two commonly (i.e., genetic algorithms (GAs) simulated annealing (SA)) integrated with order balance line. The sequence task assignments GA compared SA. comparison indicates outperforms SA four eight performance measures while both same value efficiency measure.
